With goods from all over the world converging on our platform, responsible sourcing is the foundation of our corporate philosophy and is at the heart of everything we do. For us, the importance of a socially responsible and sustainable supply chain is paramount to ensuring that wherever we operate, we are providing an honest, transparent and valuable service. We are committed to ensuring ASM participants on our platform are given the opportunity to create an economic pathway that will allow them to trade effectively on the international market, providing them the tools they need to lift themselves out of poverty while at the same time taking responsibility and ownership for the development of their community.
CCEX aims to support human rights, foster local development and avoid contributing to conflict, human rights violations, gender inequality and child abuse. We are dedicated to ensuring our activities and relationships have a positive impact on the lives of the people we work with and the communities we operate within. CCEX is committed to ensuring that we do not contribute, either indirectly or indirectly to conflict or human rights abuses as a result of our actions.
Our due diligence policy at CCEX has been developed in line with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. Furthermore, our relationships with artisanal and small scale miners are guided by the Code of Risk mitigation for ASM engaging in Formal Trade (CRAFT). Our aim is to use these tools to help us mitigate risk as well as help legitimise the ASM sector and encourage artisanal and small scale miners to develop, increase wealth and funnel some of their earnings back into the community in order to provide education and social welfare programmes.
Continental Commodity Exchange is proud to support PACT’s DELVE Project as a Partner and share their vision to help the development of ASM and ensure the contributions that participants in the ASM sector make to the worlds global development are recognised.
